Term and conditions

1. Booking and Shipping

• All rentals are dispatched 2-5 days before your event using an overnight courier service.

• To ensure your rental arrives on time, your booking must be made before the Wednesday prior to your event.

• Late bookings made within 3 days of your rental date may arrive late, and compensation will not be provided in such cases.

• Additional postal fees may apply for rural or remote areas.

• A prepaid return postal bag is included with each rental for easy returns.

2. Return Policy

• Rentals must be returned by 4 pm on the next business day following your event to avoid late fees.

• For local rentals, it is ideal that garments be returned the day after your event.

• Extended rentals must be returned on the last day of your rental period, and all terms and conditions apply equally to these returns.

• Failure to return a garment within the scheduled return time may result in liability for rental costs, late fees, and further compensation.

3. Late Fees

• A $10 late fee applies for each day your rental is overdue.

• Keeping a garment for longer than 10 days overdue may result in charges equivalent to the full retail replacement price (RRP) or an amount determined by Bella’s Wardrobe.

• Late fees and charges are cumulative and non-negotiable.

4. Damages, Stains, and Garment Responsibility

• You are responsible for the condition of the garment while it is in your possession.

• All garments are described with their condition at the time of booking. If there are any issues or concerns with the garment’s condition, Bella’s Wardrobe is not liable for compensation as you agree to the condition by proceeding with your booking.

• Garments must be returned in the same condition as received, aside from normal wear from careful use.

• Please report any damage or stains immediately. Do not attempt to wash, bleach, spot-clean, or repair the garment yourself, as improper care may worsen damage.

• Bella’s Wardrobe will assess any damage or staining and determine whether:

  • The garment can be professionally cleaned or repaired, or

  • The garment is no longer in rentable condition.

• If a stain cannot be removed but the garment is still deemed rentable, you will be responsible for paying compensation. Because the dress is rented at a reduced price, this compensation is necessary to cover the reduction in value caused by the stain and will be used towards repairing or replacing the garment.
  

• If the garment is considered irreparable or unsuitable for rental, you will be liable to pay full compensation, which may be the garment’s RRP or a cost decided by Bella’s Wardrobe.

• Examples of damage that may incur compensation include unremovable stains (e.g., makeup, food or drink stains, body oils), tears, broken zippers, or any alteration that affects the garment’s appearance or function.

• Compensation amounts will be communicated and invoiced accordingly.

5. Lost Items

• If your rental does not arrive due to courier error, a store credit will be offered minus the postage cost.

• If a rental is lost or not returned, you will be liable to pay compensation equivalent to the full retail replacement price or an amount determined by Bella’s Wardrobe.

6. Refunds and Sizing

• No refunds are given if a garment does not fit.

• To avoid sizing issues, please communicate clearly about your size requirements before booking.

• By booking, you agree to accept responsibility for choosing the correct size.

7. Change of Mind

• If you change your mind, a store credit will be offered only if you notify us 4 or more days before your event.

• Changes or cancellations made less than 4 days prior to the event will not be eligible for credit or refund.

8. Garment Care

• Please treat all rentals with care, as if they were your own property.

• Do not wash, dry clean, or attempt repairs on the garment.

• Report any damage or stains immediately so we can arrange professional care if necessary.
